Result Interpretation:

A control line and test line indicate a negative result. Even a faint test line should be interpreted as negative.

A control line with no test line indicates a non-negative screening result. This means the drug concentration may be at or above the applicable cut-off.

If the control line does not appear, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated using a new device.

Important:

The AusMed Innovations Saliva Tracer 7 Panel provides a preliminary screening result only. A non-negative result should not be considered a confirmed positive and should be confirmed using an appropriate laboratory method such as GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS or LC/MS/MS.

Saliva Collection:

The donor should avoid food, drink, chewing gum and tobacco products for at least 10 minutes before collection. Saliva is collected using the supplied collector.

Read Time:

Results can be read at approximately 2 minutes when all lines are clearly visible. If a result appears non-negative at 2 minutes, it should be assessed again at 5 minutes. Results should not be interpreted after 15 minutes.
